I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Expanded Perception and Interaction Center interested in explainable AI (XAI), reinforcement learning, serious games, and human computer interaction. I work remotely from Tasmania in this position. For my PhD work, I developed a serious game to help motivate players to partake in energy conservation behaviours. My more recent work has looked at how reinforcement learning techniques can be applied to wargaming and defense scenarios. I teach in the areas of mobile and ubiquitous computing, and video game development. Outside of academia I am co-founder of a independent video game company, Giant Margarita--developers of the first PS4 and Xbox One game published in Tasmania.
