Dr Prudence Gibson is Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Art and Design, UNSW.
She is Lead CI on the 2020-23 ARC Linkage grant Exploring the cultural value of Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens Herbarium collection using an environmental aesthetic.
Her area of research interest is Critical Plant Studies, a subset of Environmental Aesthetics, that addresses the crossover between plant science and art/narrative.
Specifically, she is best known for the way she weaves fictional elements or narrative threads into her scholarly publications.
